Glif positions itself against a world defined by speed, consumption, and repetition by grounding design in the accumulated narratives of objects accepting use, age, and circumstance as some of the most meaningful foundations for contemporary creation rather than as qualities to be erased.
Honoring The Origin
In Glif's approach, reinterpretation never negates where an object comes from; marks, patina, and deformation are regarded not as defects but as evidence of time and use, and the design act becomes a conscious repositioning that carries the object's significance into a new context without severing its past.
Observation as the First Act of Design
Instead of beginning from blankness, Glif starts by carefully reading what already exists—the form, surface, flaws, and structure of an object—and treats these as clues to be clarified, amplified, and brought forward so that they actively inform the intervention rather than being concealed.
Transformation as Continuation
Transformation is understood as an ongoing trajectory in which the object's previous role is bridged with present-day needs, allowing its story to evolve through craft, material responsiveness, and the measured intent of the hand—extending its life rather than concluding it.

GLIF was founded by the team behind Habif Architects, an Istanbul-based practice with over thirty years of experience in material-driven and proportion-focused design.
The studio reflects the accumulated expertise of a collective known for crafting bespoke interiors and enduring architectural works.
